Whitworth Now Ranked #4 in Division Three

SPOKANE, Wash. – Whitworth University moved up one more spot to fourth in today's D3hoops.com top-25 poll.

The Pirates (14-1) have steadily moved up from 11^th to 6^th to 5^th to 4^th over the last four weeks of the poll. Room was made for Whitworth to move up one more spot this week when previously #1 North Central (Ill.) took its first loss of the season last week. The Cardinals fell to fifth in this week's poll.

The Pirates are the highest ranked team with a loss in the current poll. Whitworth's only loss this season came to now-top-ranked St. Thomas (Minn.) in the season opener. Whitworth has won 14 straight games since that defeat.

Going back to the 2009-10 season, Whitworth has been ranked in the D3hoops.com top-25 for 43 consecutive polls.
