The International Olympic Committee has stripped Lance Armstrong
of the bronze medal he won at the 2000 Olympic Games because of doping.
An IOC spokesman says the committee told Armstrong last night to return the medal he received at the games in Sydney, Australia in 2000.
The International Cycling Union last October stripped Armstrong of
his Tour de France titles.
Tonight Oprah Winfrey will air the first of a two-part
interview with Armstrong, who reportedly acknowledges that he used
performance-enhancing drugs in his career.
