ELLENSBURG, Wash. -- Kittitas Valley Fire and Rescue, Ellensburg Police and the Kittitas County Fire Marshal are investigating a fatal house fire tonight.
Fire crews responded to a structure fire in the Hillcrest Mobile Home Park on Cascade Court in Ellensburg around 7 p.m. Flames had already burned through the walls and windows of the mobile home when the crews arrived.
Crews immediately found a body inside the home, who they believe is a man at least 60 years old.
A second person living in the home, who was not home at the time of the fire, is being assisted by Red Cross.
An official cause of death has not been released yet. It is not clear what started the fire.
The home is a total loss. No neighboring homes were not damaged.
