PASCO, Wash.-- Chiawana High School students in Pasco accomplished quite a feat Saturday. They performed for 24 hours straight.
The high school's band and orchestra students took on the challenge to raise money for the school's music department.
They performed from 4pm Friday until 4pm Saturday. And it wasn't for nothing, more than six thousand dollars in donations were collected.
However, one teacher says the students are getting much more from the fundraiser than the money.
"Get the students more into performing and getting ready for a festival that's in a couple weeks. There's a lot of skills to be able to do performances like this in front of an audience individually rather than in large groups," said Kevin Clayton, Band and Orchestra Director at Chiawana High School.
For people who want to see the musicians again, they'll be playing again at a festival in two weeks.
