EWU To Honor 2012 Football Team

CHENEY, Wash- The annual Eastern Washington University Football Awards Banquet will take place Sunday, Feb. 24 at 5 p.m. at the Pence Union Building Multipurpose Room on the EWU campus in Cheney, Wash.

Cost is $25 per person, and the event includes dinner and video productions and highlights from the 2012 season. Tickets must be purchased in advance by calling 509-359-2463. The deadline is Feb. 22 and no walk-ups will be accepted.

Team awards will be presented and other accomplishments acknowledged, including recognition of the team's 16 seniors.

Two years after capturing the NCAA Division I Football Championship, the Eagles finished the 2012 season 11-3 overall and won a share of the Big Sky Conference with a 7-1 mark. The Eagles advanced to the semifinals of the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision Playoffs. Eastern garnered its 15th winning season in the last 17 years, including playoff berths in six of the last nine seasons.
