Teacher at Kamiakin High School Wins Classroom Makeover

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. - NBC Right Now visited Kamiakin High School Thursday morning to meet this month's classroom makeover winner.

Kelly Greenhalgh is a special education lifeskills teacher who has been teaching in the Tri-Cities area for the last 20 years.

Thursday we visited her classroom to present a $500 check from Kadlec Health Systems. Greenhalgh says it is her student who make all the difference.

You just fall in love with the kids, you just can't help it.  They're wonderful, and every day they teach me more than I teach them I think.  It's never the same every day, it's always an adventure, and it's really rewarding when you see them blossom," she said.
