KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The Kennewick Fire Department is investigating what started a fire early this morning.
Firefighters were called to a recreational structure
fire on Deschutes Place that had spread to a vehicle.
Upon arrival, firefighters began battling a well involved fire that had spread to a recreational vehicle, nearby automobile, fencing and other combustibles.
A male inside the RV was able to escape without injury. Efforts to control the fire by a neighbor and the male were not successful.
The fire was put out quickly, but the RV and vehicle were total losses. The cause of the fire is still unknown, but firefighters believe the fire started near the outside of the RV.
