Two Suspects Behind Bars After Making Death Threats in Richland

RICHLAND, Wash. - Two suspects are behind bars after Richland Police say they were causing a disturbance in a restaurant parking lot.

Officers say they got a call around 2 AM Sunday that two men dressed in blue were punching cars, threatening to kill the people inside them, and yelling "southside" in the Jack In The Box drive-through on Columbia Point Drive. The caller also told police they heard a loud noise that could have been a gunshot.

Upon arriving, police say they found two suspects matching the description walking on Armistead Street. Police arrested 27-year-old David Galvez of Pasco but the second suspect took off running.

After a short chase, police arrested 22-year-old Israel Valdez of West Richland. Officers say both suspects are confirmed gang members.

Police booked Galvez and Valdez into the Benton County Jail on charges of Disorderly Conduct and Harassment. Valdez was also charged with Obstructing for running from the police.

No evidence of a weapon or gunfire was found.
