KENNEWICK, Wash. -- NBC Right Now getting some answers tonight about the death of a Kennewick woman that was initially thought to be flu-related.
Benton County Coroner John Hansens says initial autopsy reports show 29-year-old Elizabeth Thursby did not die from the flu, or any other infectious disease.
Police says Thursby's roommate found her dead in bed at their South Fruitland Street home Sunday. They say she complained of flu like symptoms earlier in the week.
Hansens has been working with the Benton Franklin Health District incase this turned out to be a case of influenza. He says further tests will be done including toxicology and a microscopic analysis. Hansens says the results should be back in 6-8 weeks.
