RICHLAND, Wash.-- Supporters of the Richland School District bond are going door to door to encourage people to vote.
Hanford High School students spent their morning leaving flyers at homes in a West Richland neighborhood.
Over two weekends two students are distributing 1,500 flyers encouraging people to vote yes on the bond that will provide money for school construction projects.
"I'm here so that people can know about the school bond and to vote yes. It's important for them to vote yes so that they can help the schools in Richland," said Maria Rodriguez, student volunteer.
The Richland Citizens for Better Schools group is organizing the flyers campaign. Supporters across the city are helping out.
