SELAH, Wash.--Super markets are super busy in the Yakima area Sunday. They're packed with last minute shoppers grabbing their favorite Super Bowl foods.
Sean Broetje, the assistant manager at Save-On-Foods in Selah said they order and stock up three weeks in advance. Chips, beer and soda are some of their most popular items, along with their deli chicken and pre-made food trays.
"We call it the Super Bowl holiday," said Broetje."It's kind of like a Thanksgiving, Christmas type issue where we're just slammed. We had almost all of our registers going all day."
Save-On-Foods had extra employees on hand before kick-off, and then they'll bring back more staff after the game for the second night time rush.
