KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Tuesday on SWX, the Tri-Cities and Yakima regions will see the regular season finale between the Southridge Suns and Kennewick Lions. An interesting match-up because the same schools will face each other in the first round of the 3-a district tournament. On the girls side.. It's basically a preview of what's to come on Friday.. On the boys side.. The game determines which school will host on Friday.
"Big opportunity tomorrow night. The way we look at it is a game between 6th and 8th place, whether how we finish the year, an opportunity to host a home game Friday night or go back on the road and play Southridge again. So a big opportunity. It's senior night. It's a good rivalry with Southridge. We just got to get after it tomorrow."
"They're going to have a lot of emotion playing on the court the last time in the regular season. I think there's a different emotion, a different intensity on senior night than a loser-out playoff game. So we just have to get through Tuesday night."
