Tri-Cities Native To Debut on TV Show

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. - If you're a fan of the FOX television series 'Touch,' you just might see a familiar face when the season two premiere airs Friday night.

Kennewick High School graduate Ricky Russert plays a kidnapper this season. The 29-year-old Tri-Cities native was a local baseball star who went on to play for Columbia Basin College before switching gears at WSU in Pullman.

"In my junior year I decided to hang up the cleats and step on the stage. First time I got on stage I got the same feeling I did when I was a kid on the baseball field so I knew it was something I wanted to pursue," Russert said.

He told NBC Right Now his character is involved in a shout out scene with Kiefer Sutherland but said his bad guy character does live. However, that's all he would say.

Touch premieres Friday night at 9:00 p.m. on FOX.
