YAKIMA, Wash. - Yakima County
Probation Services is offering an amnesty program between February 19, 2013 and
April 30, 2013 for probation fees in collections.
Here is exactly how Yakima County Probation Services says it will work:
In an effort to help
citizens address outstanding debt owed to Yakima County Probation Services, we
are offering a "probation fee amnesty program" for those accounts that have
been sent to collections. For those who participate in the amnesty program, we
will waive the interest charges and 50% of the collections cost on the
condition that the entire principal is paid as well as the discounted
collection cost. The program will run
between February 19, 2013 and April 30, 2013.
