PROSSER, Wash. - Valley Theater Company now owns the Princess Theatre located in downtown Prosser. It is the first time in 52 years that the non-profit company has its own home.
Since early 2009, VTC managed the theatre for its previous owner, Mercer Canyon, Inc. Mercer Canyon, Inc. bought and renovated the 90-year-old theatre and invited VTC to begin performing in it in 2007.
Prior to performing in the Princess Theatre, VTC performed in various Sunnyside Schools.
VTC was able to buy the theatre after a three and a half year campaign, over 200 donations, and a matching donation from the Prosser-based Edgar E. Whitehead Foundation.
