Students at Tri-Tech Skills Center in Kennewick showed off their culinary expertise for a special Valentine's dinner Thursday night.
The high school culinary students have been working for weeks to plan the perfect menu for their first student led dinner of the year. More than 30 teens prepared a five course meal.
"The grilled halibut with grilled prawns and a hamisa vinaigrette that they've done themselves, they have a horseradish crusted oyster with a fennel and apple slaw as an appetizer that I would say is pushing the envelope for high school students," said Instructor LuAnn Wiles.
The event was sold out with almost 80 people in attendance. Their next student led dinner is in April.
