It's The Polar Plunge At Liberty Lake On Saturday! We Need Your Help...It's All For A Good Cause!

SPOKANE, Wash. - The Polar Plunge is next Saturday, Feb 23, 2013 and we need your help to meet our goal of $5,000 for the Special Olympics.

The entire Weather Authority team (Leslie, Blake, Dave, & Amy) will be taking the plunge into Liberty Lake and "Freezin' For A Reason."

There's also a little friendly competition going on, you have the option to save one of weather team members. Whoever raises the most money won't be subject to the frigid cold waters!

    WASHINGTON (AP) - Federal Communications Commission Chairman Ajit Pai is following through on his pledge to repeal 2015 regulations designed to ensure that internet service providers treat all online content and apps equally. The concept, known as net neutrality, imposed utility-style regulation on ISPs such as Comcast, AT&T and Verizon to prevent them from favoring their own digital services over their rivals.

    SEATTLE, Wash. - The Seattle City Council has passed a 2018 budget that includes $1.3 million to create what could be the nation's first authorized safe-injection site for drug users. The Seattle Times reports that the $5.6 billion budget approved Monday also increases city spending on programs that address homelessness to $63 million, a nearly 40 percent jump over four years ago.
