Gonzaga moved up from No. 5 to No. 3 in today's new AP Top 25 poll! Again, they received two first place votes. Indiana remains No. 1, followed by Miami, who needed a heroic three-pointer to beat Clemson Sunday night. The Zags (25-2, 12-0 WCC) got two more wins last week: a 77-60 win over Saint Mary's, and a 71-61 win at San Francisco. They have two home games this week: Santa Clara (Wednesday) and San Diego (Saturday).
In high school sports, congratulations to the girls from Post Falls! The Trojans defeated Coeur d'Alene 46-44 in overtime on Saturday to claim their first girls basketball state title since 2003.
