JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, Wash. - About 250 military intelligence soldiers are returning to Joint Base Lewis-McChord after being deployed in Afghanistan for nine months.

The Army says members of the 502nd Military Intelligence Battalion should be on base at 3 AM Wednesday.

First Lt. Filberto Martinez says the soldiers were deployed throughout Afghanistan, collecting information. He says no soldiers in the unit were killed in action but one died of self-inflicted wounds.
