Pasco School District Looking to Fill Vacant School Board Position
PASCO, Wash. - The Pasco School District is now taking applications to fill an empty school board position.
[Now former] Pasco School Board member Jeffery Dong, resigned his position last week, saying his poor health is preventing him from physically attending school board meetings.
Candidates must be a United States citizen and registered voter, living within the Pasco School District limits.
You can pick up an application at the Pasco Superintendent's Office, C.L. Booth Building, 1215 W. Lewis Street in Pasco. You can also download them on the district's website at www.psd1.org.
You must submit your completed application to the Superintendent's Office by 5 PM on March 8th.
The district will hold an orientation session for all the candidates on February 26th, at 4:30 PM in the Booth Building.

Current board members will review the applications and nominate finalists for interviews on March 19th during a special board meeting in public session. Board members will go into an executive session after the interviews to discuss the candidates, and then vote on the new member in a public session.
The new member will be sworn in at a regular meeting for the Pasco Board of Directors on March 26th to assume their full duties.
