New BBQ and Brewery restaurant opens in Horn Rapids
RICHLAND, Wash. -- If you like beer and barbecue, there's a new place in town to check out, the Shrub Steppe Smokehouse Brewery.
Dozens of friends, family, and members of the Port of Benton, who own the land, celebrated with a ribbon cutting ceremony Friday morning.
The owners are brewing enthusiasts who decided to bring their beers to the market. Head brewer Kyle Roberson, his silent manager Kevin Miller and the pub manager Steven Maiuri.
The Steppe will brew 8 beers right in the back of the pub and sell two others on tap for guest brewers to highlight their beer. They specialize in pilsner style lagers and India Pale Ales. They even have a smokey malt flavor to go with the BBQ.
Slow cooked meets include brisket, sausage, pulled pork and wings. This summer, they plan to have outdoor patio seating for about 50 customers.
The Steppe Smokehouse Brewery is located in the Horn Rapids Community off Highway 240 at 2000 Logston Blvd. They are open from 11:00 AM till 9:00 PM everyday.
