One Person Hospitalized After A Stabbing In Downtown Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. - A young man is in the hospital Friday night after a stabbing at the Spokane Transit Authority Plaza in downtown Spokane.

Just before 8:00pm  Friday Evening, a fight broke out at the plaza between what appears to be a couple groups of people. At some point during the fight, one victim was stabbed in the leg.

The victim was sent to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Spokane Police have a group of people in custody in the security office at the plaza where they're questioning them. Spokane police believe these people were involved in the situation.

Evidence has been collected, including a possible weapon. The STA plaza was never closed down because there was no immediate threat to anyone else.

(AP) - U.S. Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke and Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue plan to visit a Montana wildfire command post Thursday as dozens of blazes rage across the western U.S. Zinke spokeswoman Heather Swift said Wednesday that the two members of President Donald Trump's cabinet will receive a briefing from firefighters battling a 50-square-mile blaze burning northwest of Missoula.
