Police Find Suspects in Burglary Ring

KENNEWICK, Wash.-- A tracking device in some stolen property led Kennewick Police to burglary suspects.

Four juveniles were taken in for questioning Saturday night. Kennewick Police tracked down the four suspects at a Kennewick hotel. They were wanted in connection with a string of burglaries Friday.

One victim told officers that a tracking device on their stolen electronics showed the item was in the area of the Baymont Inn on 27th Avenue.

Police found a car at the inn that matched the description of one seen at another burglary that happened on Friday, that car turned out to be stolen.

The suspects tried to escape out the window of one of the inn's rooms, but were caught.

Inside the hotel room and stolen car, property from multiple burglaries was recovered.

"It's very important for people to contact the Kennewick Police Department if they see something unusual, suspicious in the area, people in the area they don't recognize. It's very important for them to contact us. It's also important for them to document any information. Try to get a good description of people they see in the area," said Officer Rebecca Jones, Kennewick Police Department.

A neighbor of one of the burglary victims said they saw someone knock on the door of the home.

Police warn that's common for daytime burglaries when thieves check to see if anyone is home.

Officers encourage neighbors to report any strange activity they see.
