Junior Achievement Bowling Fundraiser Underway in Kennewick

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Local business leaders and educators are putting on their best pirate garb and sailing the high seas this week. Well, sort of.

The 17th Annual Junior Achievement Bowling Classic kicks off Monday night at Spare Time Lanes in Kennewick and runs all week long.

This year's theme is The High Seas, and attendees are encouraged to dress up like a buccaneer to take part in a variety of games and competitions to raise money for education. In fact, the fundraiser is expected to raise about $300,000 for JA programs in Benton, Franklin and Walla Walla counties.

The public is still welcome to participate in the fundraiser through online and silent auctions. The online auction runs through March 4th on eBay. You can access the link through http://tri-cities.ja.org/
