71-Year-Old Man Accused Of Sex Crimes Against Two Children Under 16

OSBURN, Idaho-  Edward Phillip Hunter is being accused of having sexual contact with a 10 year old child and an 8 year old child. Hunter is being charged with 4 counts of lewd conduct with a child under 16 and sexual abuse of a minor under 16. Investigators say the alleged acts happened between September 2012 and January 2013 on specific days.      

Since his arrest late last week, Hunter posted 25 thousand dollars bond. Before a Shoshone County Judge he pleaded not guilty to all counts. KHQ stopped by the home of Edward Hunter and questions were directed to his Coeur d'Alene Attorney. KHQ Spoke with Hunter's attorney Staci Anderson, she was not able to comment because she says she did not yet have enough information about the case.

 

Hunter and the alleged victims did know each other but because the victims are minors, KHQ is choosing not to disclose the relationship.
 
According to Idaho state records, Hunter does not have a criminal history. His next court appearance is March 12th.
