Feser named WHL player of the week as Americans ride winning streak

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Justin Feser is the WHL player of the week. In three games, Feser scored six goals, tallying 13 points. The recent play of the Americans captain directly helped Tri-City to a five-game winning streak. The Americans are beating some of the top WHL teams, and they are lighting up the scoreboard, averaging over six goals per game. The Americans know they have been getting some good bounces too.

"A lot of times it is the way the cookie crumbles and I wish it was more than that. I wish there was some elaborate theory to explain 'this is why,' but it's not. We're making pretty good plays and getting good looks but we're finding the back of the net. We've had games where we've had 40 plus shots and scored one goal and you say, 'oh you lost, you didn't play well.' That's not necessarily the case. So we'll just ride this for as long as it goes but they'll be a time when it takes a lot more shots to score," head coach Jim Hiller said.
