YAKIMA, Wash.-- The 2013 Memorial Follies
comes to Yakima's Capitol Theatre this Saturday.
It's a decades long tradition here in Yakima.
It's a variety show using volunteers from the community to raise money for the
Memorial Foundation.
Right now they're practicing and getting
ready for the big show coming up on Saturday.
Organizers promise singers, belly dancers,
and a whole lot more.
The money this year is going directly to the
Newborn Intensive Care Unit, the Pediatric Hospitalist Program, and the Children's
Village.
A cause organizers and volunteers can
rally behind.
"The Follies is such a rewarding
situation where you're bringing community together to create something together
and making some magic," said Show Director Jaime Donegan.
The show has raised over a million
dollars for the foundation since 1990. They're shooting to bring in $100,000 this
year.
The event is happening on Saturday at the
Capitol Theatre.
There are two shows at 2pm or 8pm.
Tickets cost anywhere between $10 and $40.
