RICHLAND, Wash.-- Delta High School is generating more interest and results than ever before.
The school has come a long way in its four years and students are thriving.
Prospective students and parents are meeting here at the Kennewick School District building for the last informational meeting before students are accepted in a random lottery.
The school is now one of the highest performing schools in the state.
Students are hopeful they'll get the chance at an education with a promising future in a cutting edge field.
This year, Delta will graduate its first class of seniors and colleges are taking notice.
"In the beginning we were really selling vaporware. We didn't have any results. We just had this great idea and it's worked. We've had students who have interviewed with Harvard and University of Washington called today," said Deidre Holmberg, Principal of Delta High School.
Right now, the school is working on plans for a new $16 million building in Pasco.
The design plans are ready, but they've only raised $1 million and are waiting to hear about their request for government funding.
If your student is interested in attending Delta High School, the deadline for applications is February 28th.
