Woman And Girl Hit By Car In North Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. - Traffic is back to normal on Francis after a woman and young girl were hit by a car as they tried to cross the street at Elgin.

It happened just after 6:00pm Wednesday night.

According to police the woman and young girl were struck by a car as they attempted to cross Francis.

They were both taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Traffic was diverted around the intersection for more than an hour.

This incident is still under investigation.

    SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - Spokane County Sheriff's Deputies are releasing more information about a man who jumped into the Spokane River near Trent and Pines in Spokane Valley Saturday afternoon. The man is currently in stable condition Sunday. Spokane Valley deputies responded at around 3:30 p.m. Saturday to a report of a highly intoxicated man walking in traffic on Trent, east of Pines.
