WASHTUCNA, WASH. -- Jamie Nelson is working during the day, but you better believe she will be in Spokane tonight as the Lacrosse, Washtucna, Kahlotus Tigercats try to win a state boys basketball championship.
"I really am surprised that you found anybody left in this town," Nelson said. "Anyone who is left was probably at the game last night. I know our band got home probably about midnight last night and they're going to turn around and go back up tonight to cheer them on again."
The whole community is hoping that they will be able to make another trip to Spokane on Sunday at 5 o' clock for the championship game. Thus far they have had great support along the way.
"I love our student body here at Lacrosse, Washtucna Kahlotus. They are the most positive, crazy fans ever," Nelson said. "They dress up, face paint, cheer and it is always positive."
While we were there Nelson showed us the school showcase. Admittedly she said it was nearly full, but she said there is still a little room for a big addition.
"A nice big state championship basketball trophy would be fantastic to add to our case!"
Lacrosse, Washtucna, Kahlotus plays again tonight at 9 p.m. at the Spokane arena.
