Spokane Police Department Press Release:
Spokane
Police Major Crimes Detectives are investigating the shooting of a Spokane man
at a problem home late last night. Witnesses say the man, Jeremy Paul Lambert,
35, was inside his home, located at 1607 E. Pacific when a group of men
approached the home and fired shots through the door. Lambert was transported to
a local hospital and treated for a single gunshot wound to the chest.
On
03/01/2013 at 11:18, SPD received a call from the Jeremy Lambert's roommate
reporting that Lambert had just been shot. When officers responded to the scene,
Lambert's roommates told them that 3 or 4 white males had gathered at the back
of the home where a person in the group fired 4-5 shots through the door
striking Lambert, who was standing inside the home. Lambert was transported to a
local hospital and treated for a single gunshot wound to the chest.
SPD
Major Crimes Detectives are investigating to determine if this shooting is
related to an incident happening earlier in the day yesterday where officers
responded to a deceased person in front of the same house.
This
location is a known problem residence and a focus of emphasis patrols in SPD's
effort to reduce crime.
