RICHLAND, Wash., -- A man is in jail after Richland Police officers chased him on foot following reports of domestic violence assault.

Officers arrested 35-year-old Isidro Iniesta-Martinez Saturday evening on charges of assault in the 2nd degree and resisting arrest.

Officers were called to a report of domestic violence assault but Iniesta-Martinez was nowhere to be found.

Police were called again to same residence after dispatchers say screaming could be heard over the phone, and that Iniesta-Martinez had a knife; then the phone line went dead.

When Officers arrived on scene, Iniesta-Martinez tried to run away but was soon after arrested.

Iniesta-Martinez was booked into the Benton County Jail.
