Injuries Cooled Fever Friday in Loss to Colorado, 42-38

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. - The Tri-Cities Fever season didn't start the way they hoped it would. The Fever lost in the final 17 seconds to the Colorado Ice 42-38. During the game, Tri-Cities lost their starting running back, Keola Antolin, and receiver, Ed Berry, for the game. But with a bye week this week the guys have little extra time to heal before their home opener March 15. .

" We got off to a good start, we have some injuries in the game, we had to adjust. Lost two guys for the game, so we had to scramble a little bit and we were kind of limited in what we did offensively for the rest of the game," said head coach Adam Shackleford, about the season opening loss. "Defensively they had three interceptions but you know when you're on the road you cant, cant turn the ball over and you gotta find ways to win and we just couldn't."
