UNION GAP, Wash.-- Union Gap has a new city manager. Council members unanimously voted to hire Rod Otterness.Otterness is the current city administrator for a town in northern Minnesota. He's worked in city government for about ten years and says he's excited to start work in Union Gap and help the city grow.Mayor Roger Wentz says the council is equally excited and ready for a new start with the new city manager. "I think this town has a tremendous future and we have an obligation to develop that legacy and pass a better community on to the next generation," Otterness said. Otterness hopes to start work in early April.
