Fever set to recoup and prepare for full IFL schedule

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- A light week of weight lifting ahead for the Tri-Cities Fever, just trying to recover from an opening week loss to the Colorado Ice. The Fever is already looking ahead to hosting the Nebraska Danger on March 15, the team that just took out the Sioux Falls Storm. Head coach Adam Shackleford says he expects tougher competition this season.

"Well I think we have a good young football team. Our veterans need to step up and play a little better. We've go the potential of being a good team. We just need to quit making mistakes. I don't think any team in this league is going to go undefeated this year. Sioux Falls got beat this weekend as well. It's going to be a tough league which is good for our league. Nebraska is a good team that's coming here in two weeks. That's who beat Sioux Falls. So it's going to be a heck of a game," Shackleford said.
