Walla Walla School Board Says Wa-Hi Bond Will Not be on April Ballot

Posted: Updated:

WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- School board members have voted not to place a Walla Walla High School bond on the April 23, 2013 ballot.

The district would have been required to have a resolution on file by Friday, March 8 for the April bond.

During the February 12th special election, a $48-million bond to pay for upgrades at Wa-Hi only received 53% yes votes, falling short of the 60% of supermajority requirement for approval.

No timeline has been set for the next bond election.
