YAKIMA, Wash. - Drivers in downtown Yakima may need to take a different route to work for the rest of April.
The city will be closing Beech Street from the underpass below Interstate 82 to 15th street while construction crews install a sewer line.
Construction is set to begin Friday and continue through the beginning of April, weather permitting.
The city says during the project, drivers can expect traffic delays, so please use alternate routes if possible.
Homes and businesses in the area will be accessible through Chalmers Street. Emergency vehicles will be allowed through the project area if necessary.
