Pasco First-Grader Suspended for Toy Gun Talk

Posted: Updated:

PASCO, Wash. - The Pasco School District overturned the suspension of a first-grader Wednesday who was sent home from school for talking about toy guns.

The boy's father says his son was punished for talking about Nerf guns and there is no evidence he threatened to hurt another student.

The district determined no discipline was necessary after talking with his parents.
James McGee Elementary School officials suspended the 6-year-old Feb 28th. The district said the incident will be erased from his record.
