Students Display Their Talent at High School Art Show

Posted: Updated:

YAKIMA, Wash.--Students from all over Central Washington showed off their artistic talents Sunday.

The Regional High School Art Show celebrated its 40th year at Allied Arts of Yakima Valley.

The showcase includes paintings, drawings, photographs and sculptures created by more than 100 students. However, only seven students will advance to OSPI's statewide Superintendent's High School Art Show, which will be in Olympia.

"I think it's nice for everybody to show off their work and support people and appreciate it," said Arlene Beltran, a senior at Royal High School.

Teachers submitted pieces of their students art for this event. The show is meant to support arts education and provide a place for student artists to be recognized and appreciated.
