RICHLAND, Wash.-- It's Washington Wine Month and local wineries, stores and restaurants are celebrating.
Wine destinations are holding special events and offering cheaper prices right now.
J. Bookwalter Winery in Richland said wine month attracts more people and helps boost business during a slower time of year.
They said their customers are really taking advantage of slashed prices on cases of their wine.
"It definitely around this time of the season, it brings in a lot of our awesome clientele. Even people from out of state, from the west side as well that want to come and taste our wines," said Matt Bergeron, J. Bookwalter Winery.
The Washington wine industry garners more than $8 billion in business every year and around 30,000 people work in the industry.
