Washington State senior Brock Motum was named the Pac-12 player of the week Monday morning after he helped the Cougars to a Southern California sweep last week. Soon after, Motum was named to the All-Pac-12 Second Team.

Motum scored double-doubles in games against UCLA and USC last week. He scored 21 points and 11 rebounds against the then-No. 23 Bruins – the Cougars' first home victory over UCLA since 1993.

Then, on Senior Day, Motum followed up with a 31-point performance against USC. In that game he had 10 rebounds and shot 3-for-9 from 3-point range.

Motum had five double-doubles this season and moved up to fifth on WSU's all-time scoring list (1,502 points).

Washington State faces sixth-seeded Washington Wednesday in the Pac-12 tournament. The game, at roughly 8:30 that evening, will be on Pac-12 Networks.

News Release from Pac-12:

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. – Washington State University men's basketball senior Brock Motum picked up his second-consecutive all-league honors as he was named All-Pac-12 Second Team, commissioner Larry Scott announced Monday.

Motum (Brisbane, Australia), a 6-foot-10 forward finished the regular season second in the Pac-12 in scoring with 18.4 points per game, while ranking fourth in the league in conference games only with 17.4 points per league game. He has scored at least 11 points in all 31 games this season and has reached double-figure scoring in 31-straight games. With 6.5 rebounds per game, Motum ranks 16th in the conference, while he's fifth in minutes played with 35.2 minutes per game. He has 5 double-doubles this season, including one in each of the last two games.

In WSU's final regular season game, Motum moved into fifth on the WSU all-time career scoring list and now has 1,502 points. Motum's 569 points this season ranks eighth on the single-season list. This season Motum also became just the 12th Cougar to score 1,000 points and grab 500 rebounds in his career as he has 538 career rebounds. Motum was named the Pac-12 Player of the Week Dec. 10 following his performances against Gonzaga and Fresno State.

Last season Motum was named the Pac-12 Most Improved Player and first team All-Pac-12. This year he becomes the ninth Cougar to earn second team all-conference honors as it marks the 14th time a WSU student-athlete has earned the accolades. He joins Jim McKean, Don Collins and Kyle Weaver as the four Cougars to earn both first team and second team all-conference honors in their careers. WSU has had a representative on one of the first two all-conference teams each of the last seven seasons.

Motum and the Cougars continue their season at the Pac-12 Tournament as the No. 11 seed. They take on sixth-seeded Washington, Wednesday, March 13 at 8:30 p.m. at the MGM Grand Garden Arena at Las Vegas, Nev.
