As of Monday, Dewayne Dedmon and James Blasczyk are suspended from all team activities indefinitely for what Cantu called a violation of a team rule.

"Separately, we are aware of the Spokane investigation into an alleged incident involving those players and we are cooperating with the authorities to determine the facts," said Cantu in a statement.  "Until we learn all the facts, it would be inappropriate to comment further."

Police said between 10 and 15 people were hurt Sunday in a fight that broke out near The Wave Island Sports Grill and Sushi Bar. Police broke up the fight once, only to have it start up again several blocks away.

Once under control, police arrested a 23-year old man for one count of disorderly conduct and a 24-year-old man for obstruction after he tried to interfere with the arrest. Both men were from Spokane.

The Major Crimes Unit immediately began looking into whether any USC basketball players were involved in the fight as some witnesses had claimed. A police spokesman said detectives would not be releasing any new information on Monday, as they are in the preliminary stage of their investigation.
