DuPont Pioneer Expanding Capacity Again in Hermiston

HERMISTON, Ore. -- DuPont Pioneer announced Wednesday plans to increase capacity at its Hermiston IMPACT Research location.

This comes less than two months after Pioneer announced its plan for a $28 million expansion of its Hermiston Parent Seed facility.

The expansion at the IMPACT Research location is expected to break ground in March and should be completed in August of this year. The expansion will add over 5,000 square feet of office space and 51,000 square feet of drying, storage and seed conditioning space.

Once the $4 million is done, an estimated seven new jobs over the next two years will be added. The expansion of the Hermiston Parent Seed facility is expected to create 18 new full-time jobs.
