Phishing Fraud Calls Return to Tri-Cities Area

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Kennewick police are warning people about scam phone calls coming from the number (206)315-3010.

Officers say the automated call tells the person answering that their Verizon phone account is either past due or suspended. The call then asks the person to call (800) 249-2462 and then asked for credit card information.

Police say this is a scam that has been reported as far back as 2007.
