Vandal Women Beat Utah State, Advance to Conference Finals

The Idaho Vandals beat Utah State 84-82 on Friday to advance to the Western Athletic Conference finals.

Addie Schivo hit two free throws with :04 remaining to give the Vandals a two point lead. Utah State's ensuing throw-in resulted in a turnover, giving the Vandals a chance to play in Saturday's championship game.

Stacey Barr led Idaho with 26 points and six rebounds. Four other Vandals scored in double figures. Schivo, who hit the game-winning free throws, was a perfect 2-2 from the line. She also made the only field goal she attempted during the game - a 3-pointer at 7:58 that gave Idaho a 57-56 lead.

The women's conference championship game in Saturday at noon at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.
