Make-A-Wish Foundation Grants Kennewick Boy a Shopping Spree

KENNEWICK, Wash.-- One local 12-year-old boy had his wish come true Sunday with a $2,000 shopping spree at Walmart.

The Make-A-Wish foundation granted Alexis Perez his wish.

Perez is fighting Fanconi Anemia and used the money to buy video games.

Make-A-Wish volunteers dressed up as Perez's favorite video game characters Mario and Luigi to greet him on his big day.

"He's really excited about it. Mom was very concerned that it might cost some money, which is one thing great about Make-A-Wish, they pay for absolutely everything to include the wish to make sure he has everything he needs," said Holly Espinosa, Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The Make-A-Wish foundation gives sick children all-expense paid wishes come true.

People can contact Make-A-Wish to suggest a child recipient.
