Isaiah Thomas brings his talents to the Southridge Sports Complex this weekend. The former Washington Husky, and current Sacramento King, is partnering with the city of Kennewick to put on an Elite Youth basketball camp for boys and girls ages 6 to 16. The camp runs from 9 am to 3 pm and space is still available. Thomas says he just wants to be a positive role model for kids. More >>
PASCO, Wash. - High School Basketball All-Stars from the Yakima and Tri-City areas took to the court for the annual Media Classic.
Yakima Boys outdueled Tri-City 114-96. West Valley's Jalen Peake lead scores with 16 points, but Selah's Drew Dyer won the MVP with 13 points and 8 rebounds. Pasco's Julian Figueroa, Kennewick's Mitchell Mueller, and Hanford's Joe Douglas all pitched in with 14 points.
It was a different story on the girls side, Tri-City beat Yakima 91-59. Kennewick's Panisesi Taimani won the MVP with 16 Points, while Granger's Lyndsay Oswalt led the Yakima squad with 11 points.
