Aggressive Defense Helps Tri-Cities Fever Beat Danger

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. - This weekend the Tri-Cities Fever notched its first win of the season,  a 44-31 victory versus the Nebraska Danger at home. The Fever played an aggressive man-to-man style defense, holding the highest scoring offense in the IFL to 20 points below its season average. Monday the Fever talk about their stout defensive performance Friday.

"When it come to pressure, to guarding the receivers our DBs helped us a lot. So the game really goes to our DBs, this game for just how they gave them no window to throw into," said Mohammed Usman, Fever defensive end.

"Our secondary played very well, you know their pass game was not as good as it had been. You know a lot of it is because of out man-to-man style defense, it's something they hadn't seen before and it's something you can't really prepare for, you either beat it or you don't," added Adam Shackleford, Fever head coach.
