Two People Taken To Hospital After Crash In North Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. - Emergency responders were called to a two car crash Monday afternoon in north Spokane. 

Police say the driver of a red Honda was traveling south on Washington at a high rate of speed when it struck a silver Oldsmobile, spun around and crashed into a parked SUV. The driver of the Honda was knocked unconscious and had to be extricated from the car by firefighters. She was transported to the hospital for treatment. Her passenger was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Police say he was extremely intoxicated. 

The two passengers in the Oldsmobile were not injured. 

The crash remains under investigation.
