RICHLAND, Wash. -Hanford
has a long history.
It also has its
Washington State Poet Laureate
Kathleen Flenniken grew up in Richland. Her father worked at Hanford during its
production heyday, and she worked at Hanford as an engineer.
This coming Monday at the Richland Public Library, Flenniken will share some of her poetry based on her
childhood living next door to Hanford.
Debora Greger will also be there. Greger is an award-winning poet and
visual artist who also grew up in Richland.
The Poetry of Hanford
starts at 6:30 p.m. April 1, at the Richland Public Library.
